Visas for Filipino Passport Holders Living in the UAE
The Philippine passport travels well in South-East Asia — Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia all admit Filipino nationals without a visa for short stays — and the UAE residence permit adds Georgia for 90 days. Elsewhere the picture is the same as most non-European passports: Schengen, the UK and Turkey need a visa, and the Asian destinations we sell mostly take an e-visa applied for online.

Practical points for this passport
- The ASEAN advantage is real but small: Malaysia and Indonesia are in, and the one-month Malaysia limit means a longer stay needs a visa extension.
- Thailand's 30 days can be extended once inside the country for a fee, which suits travellers combining Bangkok with a beach week.
- Sri Lanka is the row where a fee applies rather than free entry — the free list covers 40 nationalities and the Philippines is not one of them.
- For Schengen, the residence permit does the work: it is what allows the application to be made in the UAE rather than in Manila.
