Visas for Pakistani Passport Holders Living in the UAE
A Pakistani passport carries visa-free or free-authorisation access to fewer countries than an Emirati one, and the difference matters most on the routes we actually sell. This page sets out the position for each destination in our holiday and Umrah range, plus the one thing that changes everything: a valid UAE residence permit opens Georgia and other residence-based schemes that have nothing to do with your nationality.
Eligibility is decided by the issuing authority. Visa rules are set by the issuing authority and change without notice. We re-check the current position for your passport and residence status before you book, and no page here promises an approval. What a UAE residence permit does and does not do
- It does not make you visa-free anywhere on the basis of the permit alone. Your passport decides the visa rule.
- It does let you apply for a Schengen visa in the UAE rather than travelling home to apply, and it is what consulates actually ask to see.
- Georgia is the exception worth knowing: holders of a valid UAE residence permit enter Georgia without a visa for 90 days in any 180-day period, whatever the passport.
- Saudi Arabia runs a GCC-resident scheme: UAE residence-permit holders can apply for the one-year tourist eVisa.
- Egypt and Azerbaijan are reported to issue arrival visas to UAE residence-permit holders. We confirm these individually, because neither is published cleanly.
